Michael Arcieri (@ArcieriMichael) & Andrew Sanchez (@ASanchez_PS) present a new podcast space for Dx enthusiasts to experience diagnostic dilemmas encountered across a range of settings including the clinic, emergency department, inpatient wards, medicine consults, and MICU. From puzzling symptoms to rare conditions, we highlight cases where common diseases present in atypical ways; those moments when we’re most tempted to go “zebra hunting.” Clinicians & students are invited to bring thought-provoking cases for group discussion in our “Guestpisodes.” Submit cases to Dx.atypia@gmail.com

Andrew Sanchez
Andrew Sanchez is a hospitalist-educator in the Northeastern United States. Meeting inpatients & working with them to achieve diagnostic clarity is his primary clinical passion, & his interest in diagnosing the undifferentiated patient is the driving force behind deep interest in learning & teaching diagnostic reasoning. On X (Twitter), he is known for creating & sharing frameworks for both common & uncommon clinical dilemmas. In his free time, he is working on getting back into half marathon shape & expanding his kitchen armamentarium.
Michael Arcieri
Michael Arcieri is a clinician-educator working as a hospitalist in the New England area. He works primarily on teaching services with residents and medical students. He teaches a weekly diagnostic reasoning morning report series, where he focuses on the practical principles of diagnostic reasoning. His favorite place to teach is at the bedside, where he pushes learners to remain curious during the history & physical to avoid both premature closure & unnecessary testing. Outside of work, he enjoys rock climbing, board games, & collecting vinyls.
